The best candle dupes of 2026
A designer candle can cost a lot for something that burns down in a few weeks. The good news is that most of the famous ones have a much cheaper twin that the candle community has already found. Here are the pairings worth knowing.

None of these are counterfeits. Every candle below is a real, independently made product with its own name and label. They just happen to chase the same scent as a pricier icon, and in a lot of cases people cannot tell them apart once they are lit. Scores reflect what the community says, not a lab.

How to read the matches
A score in the 80s means most people, most of the time, would be happy to swap. The last ten percent is usually a subtle difference in throw, a slightly sweeter dry-down, or a shorter burn. Candles are also more room-dependent than fragrance is on skin, so a big open kitchen will hide small gaps that a tiny bathroom would expose.
The three that surprise people most
- Volcano. The Walmart and Target store-brand versions are so close that side-by-side videos are a whole genre. Start with Red Lava & Citrus or Island Moonlight.
